Neck Lift

Most of the time Neck lift is performed in conjunction with the traditional facelift. In selected numbers of patients, the procedure could be done by itself. The neck encompasses three elements: submental (under the chin) incision, for improvement of the central neck cords (platysma bands), improvement of the double chin, and fat removal.

The other component is the posterior incision, behind the ears, and into the neck hairline, through this approach, tightening of the posterior neck and further definition of the jawline can be achieved. Combination of the submental and posterior approach is performed most of the time. Occasionally, specially positioning of sutures under the jawline is applied for further definition or sharpening of the neck.
