Skin Brightening Serum

What is DermaMedics’ Skin Tone Brightener Serum?

The Serum is a quick absorbing cosmetic silicone based formulation that is designed for use on large or small areas of the skin to minimize the appearance of uneven skin tone or dark spots, caused by years of sun exposure or as the result of pregnancy or the use of birth control pills.

How do I use Skin Tone Brightener Serum?

After cleansing with DermaMedics’ Foaming Facial Cleanser, apply Skin Tone Brightener Serum to discolored areas. For best results, it is recommended to use twice a day over clean skin. Once the visible dark areas have disappeared, to prevent the re-occurrence of dark spots, the use of Skin Tone Brightener Serum once a day is recommended. In addition, the anti-aging Restorative Serum should be applied once a day. Because age spots/dark spots may be present below the skin’s surface, it may take about 4 weeks for all the existing areas of discoloration to disappear. If using Skin Tone Brightener Serum in combination with any other product, allow the first product to fully absorb into the skin before applying the second product. As with any skin care product, discontinue use if irritation develops.

Are there any concerns I should know about the use of Skin Tone Brightener Serum?

Skin Tone Brightener Serum is NOT a moisturizer.

Please remember that Skin Tone Brightener Serum is not a skin moisturizer. It does help to prevent moisture loss from the skin but it cannot replace the oils that your skin normally produces. Therefore, if you have very dry skin that does not produce enough of its own oils to replenish those lost from the skin throughout the day, you will need to use a facial moisturizer in addition to the Skin Tone Brightener Serum.

Note:
Visible dark spots may be present in EITHER the epidermis or dermis. Most are found in the epidermis and this can be effectively minimized by the use of Skin Tone Brightener Serum or Lotion and accelerated skin exfoliation. Dark spots that have their origins in the dermis become “trapped” in the dermis and are not easily removable. This pigment is similar to a tattoo and will be more resistant to any product, including Skin Tone Brightener Serum. Bleaching of these areas by laser treatments or more invasive procedures may be required to achieve the desired effects.
